If you work in an office and feel pressured by the dress code to wear high heels, keep in mind that you can commute in comfortable, flexible shoes and change into heels once you arrive. Doctors also recommend that if you have to wear heels, that you change up the heel height regularly by wearing different shoes. By varying the heel height you will be able to avoid muscular changes in your feet.*
Pair your heel choice with the activities you will be doing during that day. For example, if you are going to a party where you know you will be mostly sitting, a higher heel is okay. However, if you know there will be a lot of walking and standing involved, opt for a shorter, more comfortable heel.
