Toning Shoes Not Recommended for Children

They may be the latest craze in athletic shoes, but toning or rocker-bottom shoes are not to be worn by children. Schools and doctors alike are concerned and warning parents about the marketing of toning shoes to children because of the possible injuries that could occur. By changing the way they walk, the shoes are taking children away from their center of gravity, thus making them more prone to falling or ankle injuries.[1]

Just like adults, children need supportive and well-fitted shoes! They need the proper support that’s appropriate for them.
