Keep in mind that our feet sweat even without exercising, especially during these hot summer months. Fungus and wart causing viruses tend to lurk in moisture-trapped spaces like shoes. Boots and vinyl shoes are examples of the kind of footwear that can easily trap moisture inside, putting your feet at risk for contracting fungal infections.

Wearing wool or silk blend socks will help keep sweat off of your skin. If your feet do sweat, remember that the moisture gets absorbed by your insoles, so it’s important to provide 24-48 hours between wears to allow your shoes to completely dry out.
