Our feet have carried us since the moment we learned how to walk. They are the hardest working part of our bodies and often, they are the most neglected! The first signs of aging feet are in their structure and appearance. Your foot size will increase, your arches will flatten, tendons become weaker, and the fatty pads will start to get thin. Other conditions that arise with aging are: nail fungus, bunions, corns, and calluses. The best preventive care you can do for yourself is to check your feet regularly for any changes that need attention, wear shoes with proper support, and do stretches.[1]
A great stretch for your feet is drawing the alphabet with your toes for 5-10 minutes. This keeps your tendons strong as well as loosening up the ankles and feet.
