Dry Shoes with Newspaper

It is important to keep your shoes dry in order to reduce the growth of bacteria and fungi. If your shoes get wet after a grueling workout or getting caught in the rain, try stuffing them with newspaper to help absorb excess moisture. Switch out your newspaper stuffing every four hours until the paper comes out completely dry.*

Repurpose old newspaper and use it as a moisture absorber for your shoes. Also, to speed up the drying process, take the sock liners out of your shoes, wash them by hand, and dry them in the sun separately.
